Request for Propsal: Climate Action and Sustainability Plan Consultant

It is the intent of Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) to create a vibrant, sustainable, and resilient Tucson Unified for students, staff, and community to meet climate and sustainability goals. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is a tool the district is using to secure expert consulting services in the development of a comprehensive Climate Action and Sustainability Plan. The RFP outlines TUSD’s intent to build a flexible, districtwide strategy that supports both near- and long-term goals around sustainability, climate resilience, and educational equity. The plan will address a wide range of focus areas—including energy efficiency, infrastructure, transportation, food systems, procurement, and climate education—while providing a framework that can adapt to evolving technologies and district needs. The strategy also centers equity by ensuring meaningful participation from students, staff, and communities most impacted by climate change.
