Indoor Air Quality Tools for Schools: On-Demand Training Webinars
EPA’s On-Demand Training Webinars provide free, self-paced professional development that helps school and district personnel plan, launch, and sustain a comprehensive indoor air quality (IAQ) management program. Four themed series are available.
- AQ Master Class Professional Training (10 hours): core instruction on asthma triggers, HVAC operation, moisture and mold, energy efficiency, integrated pest management, cleaning, maintenance, and source control.
- IAQ Knowledge-to-Action Series: case-based sessions that translate Master Class concepts into actionable steps—using the School IAQ Assessment Mobile App, building value propositions, securing funding, and implementing preventive maintenance.
- Healthy Indoor Environments in Schools Series: ventilation and cleaning strategies that control viruses and other infectious agents.
- Energy Savings Plus Health Series: guidance on integrating IAQ measures with energy projects, employing the IAQ Planner, and moving from reactive to proactive maintenance.
All webinars feature technical experts, school-district leaders, and SHIELD Network partners, award continuing-education certificates, and can be viewed anytime to fit staff schedules.
