In this study, the authors use end-of-day CO₂ data from commercial sensors to estimate classroom air exchange rates (AER). Analyzing data from over 3,200 sensors in 125 schools, the approach automates AER calculations efficiently, enabling large-scale monitoring of indoor air quality across districts.
