State Charter School Facilities Incentive Grants Program

Closed

U.S. Department of Education (ED)

This federal grant program supports states in developing or enhancing per-pupil facilities aid programs for charter schools. It encourages states to share the cost of charter school infrastructure funding by matching federal dollars with state contributions. The program provides financial incentives to states that already have a per-pupil facilities aid program or are willing to establish one. The federal contribution increases over five years, beginning at 10% in year one and rising to 80% by year five. By providing stable and sustainable funding, this program helps states ensure charter schools have adequate facilities to serve students.
