Advocacy By Design
Hosted by National Center on School Infrastructure and the National Council on School Facilities
Effective advocacy for school facilities investment isn’t a press release — it’s a discipline, built into everyday work long before the next bond, ballot, or budget conversation. But too often, facilities advocacy begins only when funding is threatened, forcing leaders to scramble for the data, narratives, and community coalitions needed to support a one-off campaign. Better-organized priorities routinely out-compete these efforts — leaving facilities funding gaps that compound over time. This dynamic plays out at the local school district level and at the state level.
Join the National Center on School Infrastructure (NCSI) and the National Council on School Facilities on Thursday, August 27 for a conversation with state and district leaders about how to change this trajectory by integrating advocacy frameworks into the routine work of facilities planning. Panelists will share strategies for durably assembling the building blocks for advocacy infrastructure that supports the case for facilities investment whenever it needs to be made.
