An Assessment of New Mexico’s Public School Capital Outlay Funding Formula

This report, prepared for the NM Public School Capital Outlay Committee, includes an assessment of the performance of New Mexico’s public school capital outlay funding formula in allocating state funds to public school facilities projects, validation of the data and methods used by PED to calculate state shares, an assessment of the availability of relevant data for potential modifications to New Mexico’s funding formula, and a summary of methods/formulas used by other states.
